Looks like there are still tickets available to this year’s MusicNOW Festival (March 28 - 30, Memorial Hall, Cincinnati, OH). Click links to purchase tickets. Here’s the lineup so far according to the festival website:
Wednesday, March 28th (free)
FREE organ concert with James McVinnie at Christ Church Cathedral. McVinnie, from Westminster Abbey will be performing new pieces from Richard Reed Parry and Pulitzer Prize winning composer David Lang along with selections from Philip Glass, Bach, Arvo Part and Nico Muhly. We are pleased to announce Sam Amidon will also be performing.
Thursday, March 29th (tickets $25)
eighth blackbird will be joined by Philip Glass to perform “Music in Similar Motion” and premiere a new work by Nico Muhly. Sandro Perri has been added to the evening at Memorial Hall.
Friday, March 30th (tickets $25)
A workshop presentation of a new song cycle from Nico Muhly, Sufjan Stevens and Bryce Dessner. Pedro Soler and Gaspar Claus will perform improvisations for flamenco guitar and cello at Memorial Hall. Just added! This is the Kit joins the bill.
You can also purchase a festival pass for $35. Memorial Hall shows are General Admission.
If you’re in or around the Cincinnati area, you should go! Or even if you’re not. I’m making a 10-hour drive myself but hey. This will be my first time seeing my favorite musician perform live!
